Hi! I'm Joni Stephenson. This is my 19th year teaching music and I am very excited to continue teaching at Keenan Elementary. Before coming to MISD, I taught in New Caney, Coppell, and Texarkana. I have been playing the piano since I was 7 years old and I enjoy playing many other instruments I've learned through the years. I have 3 children, Daisy is in 1st grade and Tyler and Maria are in 5th grade. When I'm not at school, you can find me watching Maria dance at Flex Dance and Fitness, participating in activities with Tree of Life Lutheran Church, playing board games, or watching football!
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Music Education degree.
I received my Master of Music in Music Education degree from Kent State University in 2018.
