My name is Amy Suttles. This is my 21th year teaching! My husband is Coach Boone Suttles at Oak Hills Jr. High. We have three sons. Reese is 17, Jackson is 13, and Grady 11.
I have quite a few teachers in my family. My mother, Debra Jackson-Chenault, was an 8th grade History teacher, and Career and Technology teacher, for many years in Willis ISD. My son, Jackson, is named after her. She was my inspiration for teaching because she always pushed herself to think outside the box and make learning a passion for her students. My mother-in-law, Marilyn Suttles, was also a teacher in Conroe ISD for many years. She has retired and now spends her time giving all her love to my kids and their cousins. As I mentioned earlier, my husband is also a teacher and coach at Oak Hills Jr. High. He coaches football, basketball, and track. So, throughout most of the year, Coach Suttles is very busy making sure that Oak Hills Lions are #1 in athletics. We are so proud of him!
My son Reese will be starting his Sr. year at Lake Creek High School. He is very excited to come back to school and see old friends, make new ones, and learn, learn, learn! He loves Science and plans to do something in the medical field.
Our middle son, Jackson, is curious about EVERYTHING. Someday he wants to be a pilot and fly planes all over the world. He wakes up in the morning with a smile on his face and falls asleep that way too.
Grady is our youngest. He has been a true blessing to our family. His oldest brother watches over him to make sure that Grady is doing what he should be doing..... LOL! His best friends are his brothers. He really loves art and creating things out of anything in my storage closet.
My husband and I are truly blessed with family, friends, and great jobs that make us very happy. We love teaching here in Montgomery! We pray that all of our parents and students love it as much as we do.
